Try-It Wheel Throwing Classes
Curious about pottery but not ready to commit to a full course? Our Try-It Classes are the perfect way to dip your hands into the clay and experience the magic of wheel throwing—no experience necessary!
In this fun and informative 1.5-hour session, you'll get step-by-step guidance on how to use the pottery wheel. Learn how to center your clay, pull up walls, and shape a simple form like a cup or bowl. Afterward, you'll pick your favorite glaze color, and we’ll handle the rest—firing and finishing your piece so it’s ready for pickup in a few weeks.
These classes are great for individuals, friends, or anyone looking to try something creative and new. Just bring yourself and a sense of adventure!
Price: $75 per person ($81 w/ taxes)

🌿Build Your Own Terrarium: Workshop
Hosted by Safa Plant Co. + BabyFace Studio
Part 1: Saturday, September 13 · 12–2:30 PM w/ BabyFace Studio
Part 2: Saturday, October 4 · 3–4:30 PM w/ Safa Plant Co.
** Both parts of workshop will be held @ BabyFace Studio
Price- $143/person (includes taxes and fees)
Start by hand-building your own clay terrarium with BabyFace Studio. We’ll hand-build our custom pots and before you go, you’ll get to choose from over 100 glazes for your terrarium! Then return for a second session with Safa Plant Co. to fill it with greenery and natural materials. No prior experience necessary! We’ll guide you through every step. Plus, sip on house-brewed iced teas while you assemble your terrarium during the 2nd workshop!
Note: You must be available for both dates to register. When registering, it will automatically enroll you in both sessions.

Kid’s Class: Let’s Make a Pumpkin!🎃
Dates: Sunday, September 7th 10–11 AM or Sunday, September 21st 10–11am
Price- $65/person
Ages 5–12 (parents are welcome to join in to make their own or help their child! If an adult is making a pumpkin please register your own spot)
This project is pure fall fun! Kids will learn to hand-build their own clay pumpkin, choose a glaze, and explore sculpting techniques that build tactile skills and hand-eye coordination. A great way to get into clay (and into the fall spirit)!
SPECIAL EDITION: 💕 DATE NIGHT: Carve + Decorate a Pumpkin! 🎃
Date: Saturday, September 27 · 6–8 PM
Price- $250/couple
** This class is not on the wheel it is hand-building at the tables
For this fall-inspired date night, you and your date, BFF, mom, will each get a handmade 4 lb. pumpkin to carve, paint, and decorate with decals + other materials. No previous experience necessary! We will walk you through how to carve this like a real pumpkin! We will finish them by painting with underglaze (kind of like acrylic paint but for pottery, and decals!) This Date Night is also BYOB and there will be light snacks! A cozy evening full of creativity and fall vibes. Spots are very limited!
Date Nights
Looking for a unique and creative night out? Our 3 hour Date Night class is the perfect way to spend time with your partner or friends! You'll learn the basics of wheel throwing together, all while enjoying a relaxed, fun atmosphere. This is a BYOB event, and we’ll provide a selection of light bites and drinks to enjoy while you create.
After working on the wheel, you’ll learn how to add the finishing touches to your pieces. It’s a fun, hands-on experience that you’ll remember long after the night is over!

4-Week Intensive Hand-Building Class
First session: Week of August 24th- Week of September 21st
Each class is 3 hours long. Class will meet Sundays from 12-3pm!
1st Session Meets: Aug 24th, Sept 7th, Sept 14th, Sept 21st
2nd Session Meets: September 28th, Oct 5th, Oct 12th, October 19th

I absolutely love teaching the wheel—but at heart, I’m a sculptor and hand-builder, and I’ve been dying to bring more of that into the studio. So I’m finally adding a 4-week hand-building intensive!
Class Price- $425
This class is not like the 8-week course. This is an intensive that is more geared towards one on one guidance, step by step building, and heavy education on hand-building 101. This class requires double the amount of clay, more shelving space, and takes up a lot more kiln space. The studio will also be glazing all projects since this course is not focusing on glazing, just the building aspect.
This will run at the same time as the next 8-week session!
It’s totally beginner-friendly, but also a great space for folks with previous clay experience who want to explore new techniques and forms.
We’ll be diving into two solid projects over the four weeks.
Class Includes:
1 (25lb) block of clay in white or brown stoneware
Studio Community Tools
2 Bonus Open Studios- use 1 for each project!
Shelf space to store projects
*** Please know that this class heavily focuses on the building methods, not glazing. For these projects they need a lot of time to dry out before being fired. Due to time constraints and the focus of the class glazing will not be included in this intensive. Your pumpkins will be glazed by the studio and ONLY the interior of the coil pots will be glazes so they can hold liquid. The exteriors will remain unglazed.

Choose from one-of-a-kind Philly-inspired decals (sports, food, phrases, landmarks + more!) and learn how to arrange and apply them to your tumbler. These designs were made exclusively in-house at BabyFace Studio, so you won’t find them anywhere else. SHOW OFF YOUR PHILLY PRIDE! These are perfect for an Eagles Tailgate, a walk through the Wissahickon with the dogs, or a gift for a fellow Philly Peep!
